The museum contains items dealing with the history of army communications since the Crimean War, and of the Royal Corps of Signals. The display contains communication equipment from the South African War, World War I, World War II and the major post-war conflicts. There are many uniforms on display and the only example of the horse-drawn cable-laying wagon, an 8th Army armoured command vehicle, and a number of military motor cycles. Interactive exhibitions, especially for younger visitors but enjoyed by all ages, featuring the history, science and technology of communications.
